So that went through quicker than I thought!

Custard - The Roly Poly Issue, my first Zine is officially issued as a digital Zine!
Wow! I'm quite happy with this, although I would have been happier selling it cheaper!

It's available on the Kindle Store - here - and you can also read it for free with Kindle Unlimited!

Kindle Custard - KDP

So I thought I'd have a look at the digital option. I do have an affinity for digital versions of comics and media so I had a look at the digital version of Custard.

Hopefully I will do a PDF version of the Zine, but I wanted to see how publishing it on an 'official format would go, so off to Amazon Kindle I went.
Amazon have a Kindle publishing service call Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. After some trial and error, I managed to get the files uploaded. Luckily ClipStudio (where I put the Zine together) has the software built in to turn it into Kindle Format. On top of that, you can download previewer software which allows you to see what it will look like on Kindle, or the Kindle apps.

So, it's all updated and now we wait....

Putting It Together

The content is all done, with everything in place. This is me making sure I am happy with everything.

I use Clip Studio for my art. I usually like to draw by hand, and ink by hand, but sometimes I colour using this. It's also good for letting and layouts. 

I had to make sure that I had the settings correctly, as the first time it was in Manga settings - which reads from right to left! Luckily it has a reading preview option and I caught it. 

Statement Of Intent

So what's this blog all about?

Well...I do already have a pretty active website. 3 Million Years is a website about digital comics - I add to it quite regularly! 3 Million Years has information about digital comics releases, sales, news, previews and reviews...
...as if that doesn't keep me busy enough....
...plus the day job....
....and the family...

This blog is more about personal projects - not only the Custard Zine, but also the things that may go into it.
That may include comics, books, movies, monsters, myths and more.

In the meantime, I'm working on getting the first Zine live, so you will get some information and progress on that - then onto other things!

Custard Is Coming!!

The blogger site isn't fully operational (to my thinking) and nor are some of the selling tools I want to set up!
But....
Custard - The Jam Roly-Poly Issue is on its way. 16 pages of my first publication. All done by me!
